Currently, I cannot stop making lines. While most of my lines have a strong plant and wildlife influence, I am also interested in playing with grotesque anthropomorphic forms. I know a work is successful when I can find a dark glimmer of humor somewhere within it.
Born in 1983, I am originally from the Southern California coast. In 2006, I completed a BFA in Studio Art from New York University. In the past five years, I have worked in the studios of multiple internationally recognized artists, in the office of the visionary performance art biennial Performa, designed the album cover and logo for Innaway’s second album and built display for Anthropologie retail stores. By way of New Mexico, I find myself back on the West coast, currently the Northern Mendocino Coast.
In the summer of 2012, I completed a series of 32 small drawings, which now stand as my demos or sketches. Since then, I have been recreating much larger versions from these demos. Much of my most recent failures and successes can be found on the Killscrow blog- a collective effort with my husband.
